Encore went into the ring for the first time last weekend and reminded me that gaiting is not a default behavior ; you have to teach it! Here he is getting a little preshow sweet talk from his Auntie Zana, who took him into the ring for regular classes. (He won his 6-9 class). He will be primarily owner-handled but there will be occasions when his breeders will ask Z to present him.
He will go back into the ring next at the Thanksgiving cluster in Maryland; no sure yet which days. Might be fluffier then!
